Lincoln Police say a 75-year-old woman grabbed a gun just before 1:00 Thursday morning because she thought someone was breaking into a vehicle on her property near North 1st and West Fairfield.
“Officers contacted three individuals who reported they were at the residence to repossess a vehicle,” says Captain Todd Kocian. “As they were preparing to remove the vehicle, the owner exited the residence holding a firearm.”
Kocian says Marilyn Lawrence pointed the gun at the men. They retreated and called 911. Police then showed up and arrested Lawrence for three counts of terroristic threats. Officers recovered a .25 caliber handgun.
