Salsa Bars Return to Amigos Restaurants

Back in 2020, Amigos Restaurants decided to close down their dinning room salsa bars due to the lockdown educing pandemic. However, Wednesday, April 24th, salsa bars will return to the fast-food chain.

Customers will once again clack elbows with one another, over pails of Amigos’ variety of salsas and — of course — their highly revered homemade ranch dressing.

“We heard from a lot of people when the salsa bars were gone,” Jan Moore, Vice President of Marketing and Co-founder of Amigos Restaurants, told KLIN News. “”But we feel like things have kind of returned to normal, and we’re hoping to get back to something that our customers really enjoyed.”

In addition to the return of the salsa bar, employees of Amigos will again bring orders directly to customers’ tables (complimentary mint included), and Amigos dining rooms will now all be open from 7:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. or later every day of the week.

“Lincoln’s a very important community to us,” said Moore. “We like to foster that sense of community by getting to know customers as much as possible, and in doing that, extending our dining room hours and making them more consistent, people know when they can think about coming in to see us.”

Amigos Restaurants has been Lincoln’s very own Mexican-food chain since its inception in 1980, now with more than 25 restaurants across the state of Nebraska.
