By Tom Stanton Apr 15, 2024 | 9:01 AM

Funeral services will be held Friday in Lincoln for a Ceresco Police Officer who was killed in the line of duty Friday night. Officer Ross Bartlett was making a traffic stop on Highway 77 Friday night when a vehicle slammed into the back of his vehicle.

A procession for Bartlett was held Saturday. It started in Omaha and ended at Roper and Sons funeral home in Lincoln. The visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Roper and Sons South Chapel.

The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church at 85th and Pioneers Blvd.  Bartlett is survived by his wife, Tina, their two daughters  and seven grandchildren.

“He was a very professional officer,” says Ceresco Police Chief Tony Hernandez.  “His personality was outstanding.  I’m going to miss him dearly and I’m glad out paths crossed.”
