A dispute between two women ends with one in the hospital and the other in jail. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says they were called to 22nd and West Q Street around 6:30 Sunday evening on a report of a traffic crash..
“Officers contacted a 35-year-old victim who reported being struck by a vehicle operated by 37-year-old Desiree Viesca following a physical altercation.” Kocian says both women were separated by other people at the scene.
“A short time later she was taking some garbage to the dumpster when Viesca reportedly drove up to the dumpster area, threatened the victim, then backed her vehicle up striking the victim Kocian says.
The victim sustained injuries to her legs and was transported to the hospital. Officers went to Viesca’s home and arrested her for second degree assault.
