Men Killed in South Lincoln Traffic Crash Identified

By Mark Vail Apr 14, 2024 | 10:13 AM

Lincoln Police say alcohol and speed were factors in a crash that killed two men near 28th and Pine Lake Road around 5:30 Sunday morning.  “The preliminary investigation determined a Honda Pilot was speeding west on Pine Lake Road,” says Captain Todd Kocian.  “It left the north side of the road, rolled and hit a tree, ejecting one of the passengers, who died at the scene.”

Kocian says a second passenger also died at the scene.  They are identified as 23-year-old Omar Rios and 21-year-old Darien Rosales.  The 34-year-old driver, Grabiel Revilla,  remains hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

Charges are pending and the investigation continues. LPD is asking any witnesses who saw the crash or have video of the incident to contact police at 402-441-6000 or if you want to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
