Lincoln City Libraries Launches Redesigned Website

By Tom Stanton Apr 11, 2024 | 6:31 AM

Lincoln City Libraries on Wednesday launched its newly redesigned website, giving residents a chance to explore an improved digital experience. “Our new website represents a modern, innovative digital front door to the Lincoln City Library system, with an emphasis on accessibility and ease of use,” says Ryan Wieber, Lincoln City Libraries Director.

“By incorporating user-centric design and intuitive navigation, we aim to empower patrons of all ages to explore, discover, and connect with the wealth of resources available at their fingertips on the site.”

Wieber says the revamped website features improved site search capabilities and easier navigation, making it simpler for users to access and discover the library’s extensive range of print and digital resources, services, and activities.

The website also meets current standards for accessibility and readability and library patrons will not need to make any changes to their usual browsing habits. “The new website is a huge improvement for library users of all ages,” says Dan Sloan, Library Board President. “Regular visitors to the site will notice right away how much easier it is now to search for material, place holds, and access digital resources.”

The previous LCL website was last updated in the 2015 and Wieber says it had challenges with usability, prompting the need for a fresh design. The cost of the website redesign was more than $108,000.
