Lincoln Police say a woman was taken into custody early Wednesday morning after a man was stabbed inside an apartment. LPD officers were called to a residence near 31st and North Hill Road at 1:3o a.m. after receiving a report of a stabbing.
When officers arrived they found the 35-year-old ,am with a puncture wound to his abdomen. “The victim reported he was talking with two females in the apartment, one of which who’s boyfriend recently died,” Kocian says.
The victim said he made a comment about the dead boyfriend, which angered one of the women. During a confrontation, Kocian says he pushed her back and she fell to the floor. “As he was attempting to help her back up, he said he was stabbed in the stomach by the other woman, 38-year-old Brittany Borrell.”
Borrell was arrested for second degree assault and use of a weapon to commit a felony. The man’s injuries were not life threatening. The investigation is continuing.
