Lincoln Police are looking for a driver who struck a 38-year-old man as he crossed the street at Cotner Blvd and Garland Street around 10:00 Tuesday night and then took off. “Officers did contact a witness who said she was inside her residence house when she heard a crash,” says Captain Todd Kocian.
“She looked out her window and saw a large pickup speed off from the area.” Kocian says they are looking for a larger four door pickup, possibly grey, silver, dark grey or black. The man who was struck was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.
This investigation is ongoing and Kocian is encouraging homeowners to check their security system for video of the incident. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Lincoln Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
