A stabbing in northeast Lincoln Friday evening leads to the arrest of a 33-year-old man. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says the victim told police he confronted Jonas Birthmark about some missing items from his backpack near 49th and Madison
“The victim said Birthmark struck him with a large stick, then pulled out a pocket knife and tried to stab him,” Kocian says. “The two struggled and ultimately ended up on the ground where the victim sustained a puncture wound to his arm and chest area.”
The injuries were not life-threatening. The next day Birthmark was arrested at a residence near 42nd and Cornhusker. He was booked for 2nd degree assault, use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony and possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
