Going on 46 years in business, Lincoln’s very own daVinci’s Italian restaurant will be serving up their 39th annual free Easter dinner this Sunday.
“Anyone’s welcome,” President of daVinci’s Kelly Knudson tells KLIN News, whether you need a free warm meal for the holiday or “if you’re lonely, if you have nothing to do. We don’t ask for anything, just come on down and have some fellowship with us.”
Easter dinner will be served on Easter Sunday, March 31st, at the 11th & G Street location only, starting at 11:00 a.m. and serving until 2:30 p.m.
daVinci’s started serving the free Easter Dinner in 1984 to give thanks to the community. About 50-60 volunteers from the community will serve hundreds of pounds of pasta, pizza, and garlic cheese rolls. In addition, members of the community will donate cupcakes.
“We’ll serve somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 people,” said Knudson. “We’re just happy to give back to Lincoln.”
