A 21-year-old Omaha man is in custody following a pursuit along North 14th Street in Lincoln early this morning.
About 12:10 am a trooper clocked a northbound pickup at 68-miles per hour in a 35-mph zone. The trooper tried to initiate a traffic stop while the driver refused to yield and turned into a neighborhood on Atlas Avenue. Eventually the pickup was driven into a yard, struck a parked vehicle and hit a garage door.
The suspect, Joseph Bunz, exited the vehicle and aggressively approached the officer yelling to shoot him. The trooper deployed a taser and took the suspect into custody.
Bunz was medically cleared and lodged in the Lancaster County Jail for flight to avoid arrest.
