Lincoln Police Searching for Wigged Serial Shoplifter, Hit & Run Suspect

By Chase Porter Mar 27, 2024 | 10:56 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is asking for the public’s assistance in two separate cases, one regarding a wig-wearing shoplifter and the other regarding a hit and run car accident.

The first case was reported on December 12th, 2023, by the employees of the Super Saver on N. 48th and O Street.

Security footage captured an individual wearing a black wig, leather jacket, and black-and-white dress shoplifting food and spices from the store. Other retailers in the area reported seeing the same suspect on two other occasions also shoplifting items from their stores.

The nearby Target reported the suspect may be driving a small white delivery-style van. Target was able to provide additional security footage images, which can be viewed below.

The next case occurred more recently on March 10th, in the area of 35th Street and Cornhusker Highway around 4 a.m.

Security camera footage captured a work truck hitting a parked car and driving off. The work truck is believed to be a Chevy Silverado, observed to have a unique bed rack on the back. Forensics Video Technician for the Lincoln Police Department Becky Keller says the truck would likely have some significant damage to the back passenger corner of the truck bed.

Video of the incident can be viewed below.

If you have information on either of these cases, contact Lincoln Police at (402) 441-6000 to speak with an officer, or make an anonymous report to Crime Stoppers at (402) 475-3600 or leave an online tip through their website: lincolncrimestoppers.com
