Lincoln Vape Shop Targeted By Burglars A Third Time

By Tom Stanton Mar 25, 2024 | 1:39 PM

Lincoln Police responded to a glass break alarm at the Generation “V” Vape Store near 48th and Old Cheney around 3:30 Monday morning.  Captain Todd Kocian says when officers arrived they found the front glass doors shattered and chunks of concrete lying on the ground.

“Several glass display cases were shattered and various vape products were scattered about,” Kocian says.  Surveillance video shows two men wearing hooded sweatshirts, black masks and grey sweat pants damage the doors and make entry.

Damage to the business is estimated at $4,500.  Employees are still adding up the total amount of merchandise that was lost.  This is the third time in two months that the business was targeted by thieves.

In February a man dressed in a Tigger costume was caught on video stealing items from the store. On March 13 LPD says a man used a brick to shatter a window.  Once inside he took about $300 in vape products.  Damage to the business was estimated at $2,200.
