LPD Searching For Suspect In Two Robberies

By Tom Stanton Mar 20, 2024 | 1:10 PM

Lincoln Police believe the same man is responsible for a pair of robberies Tuesday night.  Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says the first incident happened around 9:30 near 27th and Q Streets.

“The 24-year-old victim told police an unknown man approached his vehicle while he was sitting in it, opened the door and pointed a gun at him,” Thomas says. “The suspect demanded his belongings and the victim gave him his wallet.”

A few minutes later another 24-year-old man was in his vehicle near 24th and Orchard, about a half-mile away from the first incident.  “The victim reported an unknown man attempted to rob him and demanded money,” Thomas says.  “The victim reported being grabbed and pulled to the ground, injuring his chest and elbow. His phone was also damaged.”

She says the victim gave a similar suspect description as the first robbery.  The investigation is continuing.
