Lincoln Police have arrested a teenager for an armed robbery that happened just after midnight on March 3rd at Peter Pan Park at 33rd and Vine. Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says initially police were called to the park for a possible shooting.
“During the investigation, officers were able to identify a 16-year-old as the suspect,” Thomas says. He was taken into custody on Tuesday around 1:30 p.m. in the
area of 40th and Franklin Streets.
“Following the arrest, officers served a search warrant at his home and located a 9mm handgun and magazine,” Thomas says. “A previous felony offense prohibits the suspect from
possessing a firearm.”
He was booked into the Youth Detention Center for robbery, using a firearm to commit a felony, terroristic threats, attempted assault and possession of a firearm by a prohibited juvenile offender.
