Nebraska Primary Election Ballot Certified Ahead Scheduled

By Chase Porter Mar 19, 2024 | 4:46 PM

The May 14th, 2024, primary election ballot has been certified early for the state of Nebraska.

Secretary of State Bob Evnen announced six days sooner than legally required, he has certified the candidates, offices and issues to be placed on the statewide ballot. Nebraska law requires the ballot be certified at least 50 days before the primary election.

“We are certifying the entire ballot ahead of schedule,” Secretary Evnen said. “This allows county election offices to finalize their own preparations.”

The full list of candidates for the May 14, 2024, statewide primary can be viewed on the Secretary of State’s website here.

Voter ID reminder
Secretary Evnen reminds voters to prepare for the new voter ID law. The voting requirement will take effect for the May 14th primary and be in place for every subsequent election in Nebraska.
