Another series win for Nebraska baseball.
The Huskers (12-5) notched 11 hits in a 16-0 shellacking of Nicholls (17-5) Saturday. With Friday’s win, NU has clinched the weekend series.
Brett Sears allowed no runs on three hits over 6.0 innings on the hill. Jalen Worthley gave up just one hit in his spotless 3.0 innings of relief.
Will Walsh was 3-for-3 with five RBI on the day, including a home run. Rhett Stokes finished 3-for-4, tallying his fifth consecutive three-hit game at Haymarket Park to open the home slate.
The series concludes Sunday at noon CDT.
