A frightening ordeal for a 22-year-old Lincoln woman as she walked her dog near 46th and Prescott in east Lincoln around 10:30 Thursday night.  “A male came up to her and grabbed
her arm,” says Captain Todd Kocian.

The woman said she did not hear him approach because she had her earbuds in. She was not hurt.  The suspect is described as a 25-30 year old Hispanic man, 5’6” tall, 160lbs, dark hair with a goatee.  He was wearing a blue jacket, black jeans and black shoes.

Kocian says now that the weather is warming up more people will be out walking and jogging and he’s urging anyone who use earbuds to listen to music to use extra caution. “When you have your earbuds in you can’t hear what’s going on around you.  You can’t hear cars, you can’t hear sirens and don’t hear people,” Kocian says.

“Take that into consideration when you’re turning up your volume.”   The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
