AAA-Nebraska will reactivate their ‘Tow-2-Go” program this upcoming St. Patrick’s Day weekend.

Any partygoers who may be think of pressing their luck by driving impaired, as a last resort, can get a free lift with their car from a AAA tow truck to a safe location with a 10-mile radius.

Tow-2-Go is active from 6 p.m. Friday, March 15th to 6 a.m. Monday, March 18th — free for AAA club members and non-members alike.

The program, which has removed 30,000 drivers from the road since its inception, is designed as a safety net for those that did not plan ahead. Always choose a designated driver before celebrating, AAA advises.

To reach AAA for a tow, call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246

“We remain committed to educating the public that it’s important to find a safe ride before drinking alcohol or taking drugs,” said Brian Ortner, spokesman, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “This is critical so motorists are not in the position of having to decide if they’re sober enough to drive.”
