Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies made a big drug bust in Waverly around 12:30 Friday morning. Captain John Vik says deputies spotted an unregistered vehicle on Highway 6. The vehicle pulled into a parking lot near 138th and Guildford streets and deputies made contact with the man and woman inside.
“During the course of the stop they were able to locate a number of hypodermic needles that pre-tested for methamphetamine and 432 grams of methamphetamine.” Vik says that’s just shy of one pound and it was broken up into several packages.
Deputies also found a few grams of cocaine, vials of LSD and 32 oxycodone pills. 24 year old Ricki Polak of Lincoln and 31 year old Elijah Goods of Omaha were arrested for possession of meth with intent to deliver.
Vik praised deputies for making the stop. “just a really good example of proactive traffic enforcement that led to getting a large amount of drugs that were destined for users in the Lancaster County area off the streets.”
