The No. 5 seed Huskers (20-10) topped the No. 12 seed Purdue (13-17) 64-56 in Minneapolis Thursday afternoon.
NU shot 41% for the game, including 8-of-22 from 3. The Boilermakers went 7-for-20 from deep as part of a 36% shooting performance.
Jaz Shelley led the Huskers with 19 points, adding seven assists and seven rebounds.
Nebraska will next meet the No. 4 seed Michigan State Friday afternoon.
