A Lincoln woman escaped injury after a terrifying ordeal on Tuesday night. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says officers were called to a residence near 57th and Judson Streets around 6:45 p.m. on a report of a man stabbing at a bedroom door with a knife.
“Investigators determined 28-year-old Austin Herbert threatened the victim with a torch lighter, knife and hammer,” Kocian says. The 62-year-old woman was able to escape into a locked bedroom. She was not injured.
Herbert was arrested for terroristic threats and use of a weapon to commit a felony and taken to the
Lancaster County Jail.
