A Lincoln man is facing a long list of charges after police stopped him just after 1:00 this morning. Captain Todd Kocian says officers saw 38-year-old Mickey Huckleby made an improper turn at 27th and Fairfield and found the license plate had been stolen out of Omaha.
Huckleby eventually pulled into the U-Stop at 33rd and Cornhusker. “The driver was taken into custody and at that time the officers discovered the vehicle had been stolen out of South Carolina,” Kocian says.
Inside the car officers discovered 2.7 grams of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a sawed-off shotgun and 200 rounds of shotgun ammunition. Huckleby was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, theft by receiving stolen property, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a short shotgun and possession of a firearm while committing a felony.
He was also cited for not having an operators license and theft be by receiving stolen property.
