Lincoln Firefighters were sent to Russ’s Market at 63rd and Havelock around 11:30 this morning after employees reported smoke. “They found flames coming from an enclosed outdoor cooler,” says Public Information Officer MJ Lierman.
She says crews got the flames knocked down quickly. “All of the employees were evacuated to make sure there was nobody inside in case the fire spread.” Lierman says they did not find any fire extension inside the store.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
