Person Blocked After Trying To Enter Saratoga Elementary School

By Tom Stanton Feb 23, 2024 | 1:40 PM

Lincoln’s Saratoga Elementary School put their secure protocols in place Friday morning after an adult tried to get into the building around 8:15.  In a message to parents, Principal Marci Imel said school staff immediately blocked the person and staff contacted Lincoln Police for assistance.

She says officers were able to resolve the situation and get the person the support they needed.  Imel says while in Secure mode they keep all students and staff inside the building with doors locked.  All of the entrances are monitored while teaching and learning continues inside.

“At no time did the adult make any threats or indicate a threat towards staff or students,” Imel said in the message.  The school returned to normal activities at 8:30.
