Two Teens Arrested After LPD Serves Warrant In North Lincoln

By Tom Stanton Feb 16, 2024 | 8:32 AM

Lincoln Police were serving a search warrant at a home near N. 41st Street and Huntington Avenue just before 3:00 Thursday afternoon when a vehicle with several people pulled up outside the residence.

LPD Captain Todd Kocian says two people got out and ran.  19 year-old Dominick Shaw was quickly arrested and 18-year-old Nephtali Blazio was taken into custody after running through parts of East Campus around 3:20 p.m.

Officers ultimately recovered 16.2gm of methamphetamines, 75.4gm of marijuana and 21 suspected LSD tablets.  Blazio was arrested for possession with intent to deliver, possession of drug money and possession of a controlled substance.

Kocian says Shaw was arrested for child abuse after he left his two-year-old child in the car when he ran from police.  He was also cited for obstructing government operations.  UNL Police and the Nebraska State Patrol helicopter aided LPD in the search of Blazio.
