Lancaster County Investigators are searching for suspects in a series of attempted business break-ins and burglaries in the southern part of the county. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says two of them happened early Wednesday morning.
The first happened at the Station Bar in Hallum where a skill game sustained $2,500 in damage. Houchin says a cash register with $300 in it was stolen from the Sprague Traditions Pub. Houchin says in late January the same bar in Hallum was burglarized.
“A gambling machine was broken into and approximately $735 was stolen from that machine.” Houchin says there were also two attempted break-ins early Wednesday morning at the Denton Daily Double and a nearby Super C store. The suspects fled before they could get inside.
“We do believe that these crimes are related and we are having extra patrol in these areas to try to combat these burglaries,” Houchin says. The total damage is estimated at $4,000 and about $1,000 in cash was stolen.
