Public Input Being Sought On Downtown Convention Center

By Tom Stanton Feb 8, 2024 | 3:41 PM

The committee that is working on developing a convention center in downtown Lincoln will be seeking public input at an upcoming open house.  The Assemble Lincoln open house will be held February 19 from 5-7:30 p.m. at Park Middle School.  It will give residents, business owners and others interested in the project a chance to learn about the facility and share their concerns, insights and ideas.

There will be several stations set up that will include information of genesis of the project, past studies, legislation and the benefits of a downtown convention center.   Represenatives from the Lancaster County Board of Commissioners, Downtown Lincoln Association, Visit Lincoln and Lincoln Downtown Rotary Club 14  will be among the facilitators.

Members of Assemble Lincoln’s consulting partners, Legends, will be on hand to inform the public about their process and expertise.  Refreshments and activities for children will be provided.
