Lincoln Police Searching for Vape Shop Burglar, Beauty Supply Thieves

By Chase Porter Feb 7, 2024 | 6:00 AM

Lincoln Crime Stoppers is seeking the public’s assistance in two separate cases of business property theft.

The first case occurred on the morning of January 16th at the Hemp Boss near 84th and Nebraska Parkway.

Forensic video technician with the Lincoln Police Department Jared Minary says the suspect can be seen on security video breaking out the glass door and entering the store, causing over $1000 in damage and stealing over $2,300 in Vape cartridges, CBD products and gummies.

Footage of a red Jeep Patriot driving by the store vehicle presents a possible connection to different case that occurred the next week, on January 24th, where a similar vehicle was seen backing into the Cloud 9 Smoke Shop near 50th and Old Cheney — unsuccessful at gaining entry.

Security images of the suspect and the vehicle can be viewed below.

Police are also seeking information regarding the theft of two professional grade hair clippers from the Sally Beauty Supply near 48th and O Street, on December 6th, 2023.

Two suspects entered the store and attempted to apply for a credit card, but were denied.

Reckoning with their poor credit rating, they then tried to sign up for rewards points. When the clerk walked away briefly, the male suspect reached behind the counter and stole two Babyliss Pro metal lithium clippers, valued at over $200 each.

The couple ran out to a White SUV that was backed up to the store and left. When applying, the couple used the names ‘Jose Zuniga Guzman’ and ‘Claudia Garcia.’

So far, Lincoln Police has yet to locate the couple.

Security images of the two suspects can be viewed below.
