A 36-year-old man was arrested early Wednesday morning after leading Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies on a chase. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says a deputy saw a Pontiac Grand Prix run a stop sign at 96th and Olive Creek near Hickman around 1:15.
“The deputy attempted to stop the vehicle and it fled,” Houchin says. “Speeds during the pursuit got to 80 miles an hour on gravel roads. The driver also violated several stop signs during the pursuit.”
Houchin says another deputy put down stop sticks at 54th Street and Saltillo Road and flattened the tires of the fleeing vehicle. The driver eventually lost control of the vehicle at 27th and Saltillo and came to a stop.
Brandon Imes was booked on several charges, including fleeing to avoid arrest and two misdemeanor warrants. He was also cited for fictitious plates, willful reckless driving and driving under suspension.
