A former Norris High School teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a student took a plea deal during a court appearance on Wednesday. 24-year-old Lillie Bowman pleaded no contest to third-degree sexual abuse by a school employee, which is a felony.
She was was initially charged with first-degree sexual abuse by a school employee. The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says their investigation determined that Bowman developed a relationship with the student last March and that Bowman had sex with the student ten times.
She was arrested in May 19 and booked into the Lancaster County Jail. Bowman was an English teacher for 9th and 10th graders and was involved with the school trap team. Bowman faces up to two years in prison and will also have to register as a sex offender.
