The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a Dense Fog Advisory from 6:00 p.m. Monday through noon on Tuesday. Meteorologist Katie Gross tells KLIN News visibilities could be down to a quarter of a mile or less at times.
“This fog could also possibly deposit a little bit of ice on the roads or untreated sidewalks making for a few slick spots.” She advises drivers who will be out Monday evening and overnight to use caution and take it a little slower than you normally would.
She says also make sure you are using your low beam headlights and leave some extra stopping distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
