Lincoln Police were called to a home near 27th and Nottingham Court around 5:30 Thursday evening after getting reports of gunshots.  Captain Todd Kocian says a 72-year-old woman was at a friend’s house and heard two to three pops that she thought it was fireworks.

“However, when she returned home, she discovered her back sliding door window had a bullet hole in it and found a bullet lying on her living room floor.”  He says two additional bullet holes were found in her wooden privacy fence.

Damage to the home was estimated at $1,700 and there were no injuries. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call Lincoln Police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.  Crime Stoppers callers can remain anonymous.
