A woman driving on I-80 Monday afternoon was arrested by Lancaster County Sheriff’s Deputy on drug charges. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says 29-year-old Chelsey Parker was stopped for speeding, driving on the shoulder and illegal lane change near the Lincoln Airport.
Houchin said deputies became suspicious that Parker was involved in criminal activity and she gave consent to search her vehicle. “During the probable cause search, 100 pounds of vacuum-sealed marijuana was located in the trunk.”
He says Parker also had $3,400 in her purse and the money tested positive for marijuana residue. She was arrested and booked on for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, possession of money in violation of drug laws and evading the drug tax.
