A 39-year-old man has been arrested for a deadly crash south of Lincoln on October 28.   39-year-old David Warren was booked into the Lancaster County Jail on Wednesday for DUI and manslaughter.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department says Warren was driving a northbound SUV that struck the back of a semi-trailer on Southwest 14th Street near Highway 33 at 12:30 p.m.  The SUV then went into the southbound lane and into the path of a pickup truck driven by 53-year-old Bradley Kreifels of Crete.

Kreifels died at the scene.  His wife was taken to a Lincoln hospital for treatment of her injuries.  Kreifels was an employee of the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services for many years.
