Lincoln Police were called to Midwest Smoke Shop near 47th and ‘O’ Street around 2:30 Wednesday morning and found the rear glass door broken and a large rock in the broken glass. Captain Todd Kocian says surveillance video showed a man throwing the rock and kicking the window several times.
He says an employee reported $67 worth of cigarettes and kratom were missing. About an hour later officers found 39-year-old Mathew Stinson of Lincoln at 45th & ‘O’ Street wearing the same clothes as the individual from the surveillance video.
Stinson initially gave a false name and was eventually arrested for burglary and criminal impersonation.
