Skip the handcuffs and avoid spending the holidays in county jail this year.

A warrant wipeout event will be held at the Lancaster County Courthouse (575 South 10th Street), Thursday, December 21st, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Individuals with qualifying Lancaster County misdemeanor warrants can get them cleared without having to be taken into custody, and can get their case back on track with no additional bond to post.

“We don’t want people driving around doing their last minute shopping, maybe going a little fast, getting pulled over and then realizing they have a warrant they maybe forgot about, then end up going to jail,” Lancaster County Attorney Pat Condon told KLIN News, “This way we can get them in here, get them into court, and they won’t have to worry about getting their Christmas dinner from the county.”

The program does not apply to holds for court, and felony/child support warrants.
