Warm Weather Boosts Zoo Lights Attendance

By Tom Stanton Dec 19, 2023 | 8:38 AM

There are less than two weeks left for Zoo Lights Powered by LES and are a very limited number of tickets remain.  Lincoln Children’s Zoo spokesman John Chapo says the warmer weather has produced huge crowds.

“In the past we’ve actually had to shut down zoo lights because of blizzards or zero degrees,” Chapo says.  “This year the weather’s been a real gift and we’ve had wonderful attendance.”  Chapo says this year they have several light shows, hanging vine lights, holiday train rides and the brand new 140-foot-long crystal cathedral tunnel, which features more than 40,000 lights.

He says tickets are going fast for the remainder of the nights and he’s urging people to get them as soon as possible by clicking here .  Zoo Lights Powered by LES runs every night through December 30 except for Christmas Eve and Christmas.
