Lincoln Police say a semi-truck driver was cited after causing a power outage in the area of 10th and Van Dorn around 4:30 Friday morning. LPD Captain Todd Kocian says the driver missed his turn near and attempted to drive down an alley to redirect.
“In doing so, the semi struck a guy wire for an electrical utility pole causing a brief power outage in the area.” The driver was cited & released for negligent driving. The damage amount to the LES utility pole is unknown.
Residents in the area were without power for about 90 minutes.
