Lincoln Police are investigating after someone stole thousands of dollars of items from a home near 9th and Irving. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says the homeowners had just returned home Tuesday night and found their back door had been forced open.
Thomas says more than $18,ooo worth of designer bags had been taken. “There was a jumbo Chanel bag worth $12,000, a blue Chanel purse valued at 3,000 and a Louis Vuitton duffel bag valued at $2,800.”
A black Springfield 9mm handgun was also taken. Damage to the residence is estimated at $500. The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
