LSO Finds Marijuana, THC Products During Traffic Stop

A traffic stop Friday on I-80 west of Lincoln leads to the arrests of two men on drug charges. Lancaster County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says the Chevy Avalanche with Colorado plates was stopped by the Criminal Interdiction Unit at the 395 exit for following too close.

He says during the stop reasonable suspicion was developed and a K-9 was detected the smell of drugs.  “During the search 72 pounds of marijuana was located, 69 of that was high grade marijuana,”

Also found was 20 marijuana seeds 1.48 ounces of gummies, two grams of THC oil, one pound of THC butter and 1.5 pounds of hash oil.   Houchin says nearly a pound of  THC chocolate bars were also seized.

The driver was identified as 50-year-old Garner Gehr of Florida.  He and his passenger, 49-year-old Daniel Olson of Des Moines were arrested and booked into the Lancaster County Adult Detention Facility for possession with intent to deliver marijuana.
