A 48-year-old man was arrested after police say he assaulted a woman at a home near NW 23rd and West O Street Wednesday afternoon. Captain Todd Kocian says 48-year-old Tristian Jackson and another person went to the home just after 3:00 to get a cell phone that had been left there the night before.
“The victim reported Jackson became upset, struck her in the face, then took a small knife from his pocket and swung it at her,” Kocian says. The woman suffered minor injuries to her face and a small laceration to her left arm.
Officers recovered the knife at the scene and located Jackson a short time later at a home near 13th and South Street. He was arrested for second degree assault and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
