A 19-year-old has been cited following a crash around 4:00 Thursday morning near 86th and Old Cheney. “Arriving officers discovered the unoccupied damaged vehicle and a
small fire coming from it. The two occupants were then contacted at a nearby gas station. Both were transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.”
Kocian says the investigation revealed the vehicle had been eastbound on Old Cheney when the driver went off the road and struck a light pole, two trees, a
street sign, electrical box and fire hydrant before coming to a rest.
The 19-year-old driver was cited and released for reckless driving and driving under suspension.
