A man was arrested Wednesday morning after Nebraska State Patrol troopers discovered 100 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop near York.  The patrol says just before 7:00 a.m. a trooper saw a Nissan Sentra driving on the shoulder of I-80 near mile marker 353.

During the stop, the trooper detected the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.  During the search of the vehicle a duffle bag and several trash bags containing packages of marijuana were found. The total weight of the packages was 100 pounds.

The driver, 50 year old Enrique Alcala Zavalza, of Woodland, California, was arrested for possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He was booked into the York County Jail.
