Lancaster County Sheriff’s deputies found a woman dead and a man with gunshot wounds inside their home near NW 98th and West Adams around 2:00 Friday afternoon. Chief Deputy Ben Houchin says the sister of 62-year-old Joann Boshart called authorities to do a welfare check after she didn’t show up for her bus driving job for Malcolm Public Schools.
When deputies arrived, Houchin says they found Boshart dead and her 62-year-old husband Robert with gunshot wounds. “We do have video evidence. We know that they were the only two at the residence at the time of the shooting.” A gun was also found at the scene.
He says they are still piecing together what led to the death and injury. Robert Boshart is in extremely critical condition. An autopsy for Joann Boshart was scheduled for Monday.
