Lincoln Police say a 73-year-old man was killed in a one vehicle crash Sunday afternoon. It happened just after 2:00 on northbound I-180 just south of Superior Street.
LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says Timothy Gill was driving his SUV northbound on I-180 when he drifted into the median and over into the southbound lanes. She says Gill then came back into the northbound lanes and ran off the road.
“The SUV collided with a fence line and two trees, causing it to roll multiple times and come to rest on it’s roof.” Gill was pronounced dead at the scene. LPD believes a medical issue contributed to the crash and drugs and alcohol are not suspected.
