In their first match after topping then-No. 1 Wisconsin, now-No. 1 Nebraska dominated Maryland in straight sets: 25-19, 15, 8. The Huskers improved to 20-0 on the season, their best start since also beginning the 2008 season with 20 consecutive victories. Before that, NU went 23-0 to begin 2006 and 28-0 to begin 2005.
Nebraska hit a blistering .349 while holding Maryland to .023. The Huskers added five aces on the night to go with eight blocks.
Harper Murray paced the Huskers with 16 kills on .433 hitting. Merritt Beason, the reigning Big Ten and National Player of the Week, notched 10 kills on .381 hitting.
Bergen Reilly picked up a double-double with 34 assists and 10 digs to go with three kills and a pair of blocks.
Nebraska stays home Saturday to host Rutgers.
