New details have been released in a hit-and-run crash late Tuesday night where a 43-year-old woman in a wheel chair was struck by a vehicle near NW 27th and West ‘O’ Street. “During the follow-up investigation officers discovered the vehicle involved was a white semi-truck,” says Captain Todd Kocian.
He says the trailer has the words ‘Metro Trailer’ on it and investigators are working with the leasing company to help identify the vehicle and driver. Kocian says after the semi left the scene they found a piece of the vehicle.
“Damage to the semi will be on the passenger side front corner and it will be missing a large piece of the plastic bumper,” Kocian says. He says anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Lincoln Police Department at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
