Lincoln Police were called to the area of 1st and ‘E’ Street just before 3:00 Wednesday morning on a report of gunshots being fired. “Residents in the area called to report being awakened by the sound of multiple gunshots being heard,” says Captain Todd Kocian.
Officers searched the area and did not find any damage. They did find eleven spent shell casings from a 9mm & .45 caliber gun.
The investigation is ongoing and Kocian says anyone who saw something or has any information is asked to call police at 402-441-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 402-475-3600.
