Lincoln Police are reminding shoppers to be careful with their purses and wallets. LPD Public Information Manager Erika Thomas says a 72 and 74 year old woman had their wallets stolen over the weekend.
“In both cases the wallets were in their open purses, sitting in their shopping carts,” Thomas says. The first incident occurred at the Home Goods Store near 27th & Yankee Hill and the second at the Super Saver grocery store at 27th & Cornhusker.
She says in both cases there was an attempt to use their credit cards for additional purchases, but there was no monetary loss
